Linköping – May 19, 2022 – The Dutch Ministry of Defense has procured additional units of the approved mobile encryption system Sectra Tiger/S from international cybersecurity and medical imaging IT company Sectra (STO: SECT B). The solution enables users to securely and efficiently communicate classified information up to and including the classification level SECRET. The new order encompasses the latest version of Sectra Tiger/S, which guarantees the user high availability from anywhere and at any time.

“Our customers must be able to exchange classified communication in an efficient way no matter where they are working and still know that only the intended recipients will have access to the information. Being able to support our customers in this challenge is a great honor and a very important mission for us,” says Jeroen de Muijnck, Managing Director of Sectra Communications BV.

The Dutch Ministry of Defense has been using Sectra’s solutions for secure communications since 2004. The order follows a new framework agreement announced in November 2021. Through the procurement of additional units and infrastructure, the ministry is extending its use of the Sectra Tiger/S system, a secure communication solution that allows users to share classified information up to the classification level SECRET. The latest version, Sectra Tiger/S 7401 LTE, offers support for all fixed and mobile 4G networks within Europe. The order was signed during the fourth quarter of Sectra’s 2021/2022 fiscal year.

Sectra Tiger/S 7401 LTE is approved by the Dutch security authority and the EU to be quantum-proof and for use up to and including the classification level SECRET. Visit Sectra’s website to read more about Sectra Tiger/S
